Archery

Insprie Youth to:

  • Learn to care for and safety of archery equiptment (recurve and compound)
  • Demonstrated safety through pracxtice, talks, demonstrations and exhibits
  • Demonstrate skills in archery through local, District, and state events
  • Explore other project areas in relation to archery

Air Rifle & Air Pistol

Insprie youth to:

  • Learn care for and safety of air rifle and air pistol equipment
  • Demonstrate safety through practice, talks, demonstrations and exhibits
  • Demonstrate skills in air rifle and air pistol through local, district and stated events
  • Explore other project areas in relation to air rifle and air pistol

.22 Rifle &.22 Pistol*

Inspiring youth to:

  • Learn care for and safety of .22 rifle & .22 pistol equipment
  • Demonstrate safety through practice, talks, demonstrations and exhibits
  • Demonstrate skills in .22 rifle & .22 Pistol through local, district and state events
  • Explore other projects in relation to .22 rifle & .22 pistol

Shotgun & Muzzleloading

Inspire youth too:

  • Learn care for and safety or shotgun and muzzleloading equipment
  • Demonstrate safery throught practice, talks, demonstrations and exhibits
  • Demonstrate skills in shotgun and muzzleloading throught loacl, distinct, and state events
  • Explore related projects

Outdoor Skills

Investigate topics such as:

  • The history , ethics laws, and carrers around hunting
  • Types of hunting and outdoor equiptment
  • Preparing/planning for hunting including firearms safety and outdoor survival skills
  • Hunting skills and techniques such as tracking gam, field care and processing of game
  • Characteristics of popular game and species

In order to participate in the Pistol program. Members must have completed atleast on project year of 4-H Shooting Sports that include live fire range espericane with a firearm or air gun.

  • All 4-H member must be 9 years old as of the start of the current 4-H year. Members must have completed at least on project year of 4-H Shooting Sports that includes live fire range experience with a firearm or air gun.
